Stephanie + Ben | wedding

About a year ago Stephanie and Ben inquired with us for their wedding right outside of Yellowstone National Park, since then we have been anxiously awaiting their wedding! Kurt and I LOVE the West and especially the region we traveled to.  We had traveled out a couple days before their wedding to wander around the area.  Seriously, we just might move out there sometime in the future…it’s sooo peaceful and beautiful! Anyways…their wedding was absolutely amazing! They chose Harriman Ranch State Park as their wedding location, it was nestled between the Grand Tetons in Wyoming and the Centennial Mountains of Montana, probably one of the most gorgeous spots we’ve had a chance to shoot.  They had a small wedding and invited their closest friends and family to stay a long weekend at the ranch, which included lots of cute cabins, a communal dining area, and a huge fire pit! We also spent some time at the ranch before the wedding and we were fortunate enough to get to know many of their guests! All of their wedding details were completely DIY and they incorporated tons of origami, including the flowerpot center pieces.  Not only that, Stephanie and Ben were incredible hosts welcoming us and their guests, as well as serving everyone the reception dinner! Enjoy this incredible ranch wedding!

they exchanged gifts right before the ceremony:)
Stephanie’s grandma made the girls their necklaces!
well said:)
during the ceremony, they invited all of their guests up for a group prayer
how amazing are these flower pots?! Stephanie folded the flowers and Ben painted the birds on the pots
they wanted to incorporate origami into their decor as they both love the Japanese traditions of sembazuru and Tsuru wa sennen….”the folding of 1,000 cranes for longevity, health, and peace”
get this…Stephanie and Ben, along with some of their wedding party served their guests dinner! They put on their aprons and served their guests until everyone was filled!
more pictures!
yes moose were roaming the ranch!:)
when it got dark the sky was absolutely amazing and so clear! Kurt took a couple of timed exposures…he caught some shooting stars and even the milky way in some of his shots!
stay tuned tomorrow for their early morning day after session in Montana!
