Paula + Jared | wedding

Paula + Jared are an amazing couple…nuff said.  We were fortunate enough to work with them previously on an e-fusion session back in March and ever since then, we were greatly anticipating their wedding, as we knew it’d be filled with so many unique and gorgeous elements.  Aside from being the fabulous couple that they are and some of the sweetest people ever, they also have this amazing sense of style and made sure their wedding was the perfect blend of their cultures, as Paula is from Colombia, South America and Jared from New York.  So they were able to infuse certain cultural elements and traditions in their wedding.  They were married at the charming Clifton Inn in Charlottesville, VA…a seriously awesome venue with tons of photo-op spots.  Paula was the epitome of a Latin goddess (think Salma Hayek), she was absolutely stunning in her Enzoani gown and Bakers.  Jared and his groomsmen all wore linen pants and guyabera’s, a traditional Latin long-sleeved linen shirt.   To top it off (ha!), the guys all wore traditional Colombian hats that were handmade and bought in a market in Colombia.  For the reception, they had hired a Vallenato band, a Colombian music style that incorporates accordion (yes…an accordion!! amazing!!) and congas that kept the dancing going all night long.
Florist:  Jenn Pineau of Sugar Magnolias
Caterer:  Clifton Inn
Coordinator: Brigitte Belanger of the Clifton Inn
Paula’s Shrug: Holly Stalder
Jared’s Suit:  Calvin Klein
Entertainment:  DJ Rainier
Welcome Bags: Discount Mugs; logo designed by Nidiana Paredes

LOVED that they strayed from tradition and created their own altar piece using a chandelier and some greenery

they also provided Salpicon, a Colombian fruit punch, for the guests as a nice refresher for the ceremony

aren’t her bridesmaids gorgeous?! i LOVE that they all wore mismatched dresses, yet still maintained the gold and copper color palette

for their favors, they had purchased woven boxes in Colombia that were filled with “cocadas,” a Colombian candy made of coconut and dulce de leche.

Paula + Jared:  You guys are amazing!! We feel so fortunate to have been able to work you both!!:)
