Natalia + Craig | wedding

Unfortunately, we sometimes feel like storm chasers.  It seems that for most of our weddings this year, I’m tracking the doplar radar on my iPhone while driving to a wedding.  Though we would much rather run away from the storms than face them head on as photographers, weddings cannot be moved on a whim and most of our couples who’ve had outside weddings have had to move their weddings indoor…last minute.  Natalia + Craig had rain both on their engagement session and wedding day, though on both occasions, as we were about to start portraits, the rain stopped, the clouds parted, and the glorious sun peaked through.  Natalia, who was born in Russia, wanted to incorporate some traditions from her homeland and Craig, who is a Navy Seal, wore a Dinner Dress Uniform to match the occasion.  Natalia’s parents and uncle actually came over from Russia to celebrate their wedding.  They both of course wanted their dogs to be a huge part of their wedding, so they became their flower girls and ring bearersThe dining was originally planned to be outside but got moved to the cellar, which actually gave it a beautiful, old world, European feel.  In spite of the rain, nothing could have stopped this lovely couple from having such a beautiful day!
