Katie + John were married a couple weeks ago in historic Yorktown, Virginia. They had such a gorgeous wedding filled with so many handmade details! Probably our favorite part of their wedding was the parade in between the ceremony and reception. Since their ceremony and reception venues were just a couple blocks from each other they chose to invite all of their guests to parade with them to their reception. They even provided ribbon wands and kazoos for their guests to use as they paraded…such a unique addition to their wedding! Enjoy this gorgeous couple!

ADORE the “first look” they did! They both actually teared up, how sweet and beautiful!

Katie’s sister recently joined the Army and was supposed to be in Texas and not able to attend the wedding. She made a special surprise the day of the wedding!

How cute are these bouts and corsages?! Katie made them all!

She even had pencils made so guests could draw and play the puzzles in their ceremony programs

Love these flowers Lynn made!

Katie’s sister gave a special reading by E.E. Cummings, “I Carry Your Heart”

LOVE this “Just Married” sign, made by Lynn

and the sweetest parade…

Katie typed up her escort cards. The call number 090407 typed in the right hand corner of each card stood for the anniversary of their first kiss

Katie + John love to read, so they incorporated books they loved to read growing up

not only did they have cupcakes, but Rita’s Ice!

how cute are John’s grandparents?!?
