The other day Kurt + I were pleasantly surprised to receive Donna + Sean’s save the date in the mail! We normally don’t post our client’s save the dates/invitations, but when something creative + unique comes our way, we HAVE to share it with everyone, which is the case for Donna + Sean. We opened our little envelope + we were excited to see their save the date was in the form of a DVD…yes, a movie!
Donna + Sean had made their own movie (out of construction paper!) to inform their guests of their wedding date! They must have put SO MUCH work into creating this, but the results are AMAZING! Enjoy a little taste of their wedding
To present & future clients, as well as my fellow bloggers: I will be out of the office from Wednesday, August 19-Monday August 24. I will have limited access to email, but will try my best to return emails when I can. All phone messages will be returned Tuesday, August 25. Thanks!
For now, enjoy a couple teaser’s that will be blogged when I return!
August 29, 2009 - 6:20 amJodi - Thanks so much Adrienne! That's awesome that you know Keisha. She is such a sweet girl and both her and Doug were a blast to work with!! :-)
August 29, 2009 - 3:39 amAdrienne - Did I tell you that I had a class with Keisha at JMU? Her and Doug's wedding looked amazing. I'm so glad that they had a great photographer, and that you got to have them as some awesome clients!!! =)
This past Saturday, I spent the evening in downtown Harrisonburg teaching a one-on-one session with Brittany Miller, a student at JMU. Brittany had contacted me back in the Fall interested in an internship with my business. After several months, we FINALLY had our session together. She recently purchased a brand new camera & a couple lenses & really wanted to learn how to use them. So I brought along my good friend, Elizabeth, to model for us. You may have seen Elizabeth in some of my previous pictures a while ago. I asked her again, since she’s AMAZING to work with & is full of energy & spunk. After going over with Brittany camera basics (lighting, shutter speed, aperture, yadda yadda…), I let her have full reign of directing & working with Elizabeth. Brittany caught on quickly & interacted so naturally with Elizabeth.
As many of you know, I LOVE unique accessories that my clients bring along to their sessions, & Elizabeth’s accessories are a perfect example of how they make for some interesting shots. Enjoy a couple shots from our session!
July 4, 2009 - 6:26 pmBrittany Miller - I was just looking at these again. And all of your recent shots. They are soooooooo good Jodi. Actually, they blow me away. When Marcus and I get married, I know who's going to be my photographer!!! : D
May 1, 2009 - 3:29 amElizabeth - Ahhh, these pictures bring back the fun memories I have of laying down on railroad tracks!
Great job JoJo.
