Year in Review | 2011 Engagement Sessions

This past year we traveled all over the East coast shooting engagement sessions for so many couples. As most of our couples know, we absolutely love engagement sessions (we include them in all of our packages), as we want to get to know our couples and find out more about their love story and, of course, hear more about the big day. The engagement session puts our couples at ease and helps them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Not only that, they in turn get to know us and how we interact together as your photographers. We were so blessed with the amazing couples we got to meet and work with this year and all of the beautiful locations we were fortunate to shoot in. A couple weeks ago we traveled up to Delaware on a lovely November day for Amy + Nate’s engagement session and got to work in some of the best light we’ve had all year! Amy + Nate live in NYC; she is a stock broker, and he works in television as an editor. They are both so down to earth and we loved getting to know them! We simply can’t wait for their Pennsylvania wedding next year!

One of the best parts of our job is seeing all of our couple’s “relationship dynamics.” It wasn’t long after meeting Sarah + Justin that we realized how much they make each other laugh, and consequently us too. We ventured around the Shenandoah National Park for their session on a cold Fall day. Surprisingly for November there was still a lot of color in the park and of course the amazing light that day helped. Enjoy!

this double exposure happened when our battery died in our film camera, so when we added a new battery the film never advanced…love accidents like this!

Molly + Josh have one of the most unique stories! They met on a job interview…for the same job…which neither of them actually received, though Josh made out pretty well with a second date with Molly . How serendipitous?! The two of them are such a sweet couple and we loved hanging out with them on their session. Enjoy!
