Sarah Jo & Brandon~May 24, 2009

I’m so excited to share a sneak preview of Sarah Jo & Brandon’s wedding!  I loved working with this sweet couple, especially having the opportunity to shoot at the Mimslyn Inn in Luray, VA.  The Mimslyn has so many great locations for pictures…it was like a playground for photographers.  Luckily, Sarah Jo & Brandon allotted plenty of time after the ceremony for their portraits.

Sarah Jo & Brandon…thank you for the amazing opportunity.  I loved working with you both & your amazing friends & family.  May you both be blessed in your marriage! Enjoy! :-D

May 30, 2009 - 7:03 pm Jessica - Gorgeous! Jodi, you do such amazing work!

Stephanie & Daniel~May 23, 2009

Stephanie & Daniel’s wedding was such a sweet event! They couldn’t have had a nicer day, as the weather was perfect!! I loved working with both of them, especially their portraits after the ceremony, which I absolutely love.  The ceremony was held at a cute church close to Natural Chimneys, with the reception at the Country Club.  Karris Atkins of Skyline Events coordinated Stephanie & Daniel’s wedding.  Karris is amazing to work with & extremely organized, which allowed for a flawless occasion.

Stephanie & Daniel, thank you for the special opportunity.  I hope you enjoy a sneak preview! :-)

Debbie & Mark~May 16, 2009

On May 16, Debbie & Mark tied the knot at Debbie’s mom’s beautiful home off of Rte. 33.  Their wedding was beautiful, despite the torrential downpour that occured during the ceremony & reception.  Luckily, everyone stayed in good spirits, even when the ceremony came to an abrupt stop since we thought the tent might topple down on everyone.  However, it made for some great pictures!:-) Since the rain canceled any opportunity of taking pictures outside, Debbie & Mark will have a special “day after” session with me this weekend, hopefully without any rain! Enjoy a couple shots from their wedding! :-)

Erin & Andrew~Maternity

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting a maternity session with Erin & Andrew.  I’ve known Erin since college, as she was my bible study leader for two years while at JMU.  When she contacted me recently about doing her & Andrew’s pictures, I was thrilled to work with them both! Erin & Andrew will be welcoming Josh to their family in about two months.  Enjoy a couple shots from our session! :-D

Bubble Gum, Chucks, & Parasols

This past Saturday, I spent the evening in downtown Harrisonburg teaching a one-on-one session with Brittany Miller, a student at JMU.  Brittany had contacted me back in the Fall interested in an internship with my business.  After several months, we FINALLY had our session together.  She recently purchased  a brand new camera & a couple lenses & really wanted to learn how to use them.  So I brought along my good friend, Elizabeth, to model for us.  You  may have seen Elizabeth in some of my previous pictures a while ago.  I asked her again, since she’s AMAZING to work with & is full of energy & spunk.  After going over with Brittany camera basics (lighting, shutter speed, aperture, yadda yadda…), I let her have full reign of directing & working with Elizabeth.  Brittany caught on quickly & interacted so naturally with Elizabeth.

As many of you know, I LOVE unique accessories that my clients bring along to their sessions, & Elizabeth’s accessories are a perfect example of how they make for some interesting shots. Enjoy a couple shots from our session! :-)

July 4, 2009 - 6:26 pm Brittany Miller - I was just looking at these again. And all of your recent shots. They are soooooooo good Jodi. Actually, they blow me away. When Marcus and I get married, I know who's going to be my photographer!!! : D

May 1, 2009 - 3:29 am Elizabeth - Ahhh, these pictures bring back the fun memories I have of laying down on railroad tracks! Great job JoJo.
