A week and a half ago I was given the opportunity to travel out to Colorado and photograph the wedding of Gwynn and Andy.  I knew Gwynn while at JMU, as she was in my bible study throughout college.  When she asked me to photograph her wedding a few months ago, I was more than thrilled!  I also was fortunate to work with Jeff Skinner of Pure Life Photography on Gwynn and Andy’s wedding.  Jeff is located in Fraser, CO and so much fun to work with! We had a great time sharing tips and techniques, as well as a few extra flash batteries

If  you haven’t been out to Colorado, go! It’s absolutely gorgeous, especially in the winter.  Luckily, we didn’t run into too many problems with weather, though it did snow the day of the wedding.  Enjoy a few favorites!

Monday, I had a chance to photograph my good friend, Brooke.  Brooke and I have known each other since middle school, so I was thrilled when she asked me to snap some pictures! She wanted a few portraits of her in her scrubs, as she is currently pursuing a degree in dentistry at VCU.  Enjoy a few favorites and check out those gorgeous blue eyes!

Tuesday I had a portrait session with the beautiful Christine Smith! Christine is an aspiring actress, getting a jump start on her acting career.   We met at Hillandale Park for the session.  Despite the cold weather, we had a blast!  Luckily, the rain didn’t start until after the shoot.  Christine brought her friend, Jen, along and I snapped a few shots of them on the playground.  Thank you Christine for a great shoot and being willing to work in the cold! Thanks also to Jen for carrying my camera bag around.  Enjoy a few favorites!

This past Saturday I had the opportunity of photographing Guests, Inc. annual Christmas party held at the beautiful Mimslyn Inn! Not only did I get to photograph the event, but I was treated to dinner and a night’s stay! A special thanks to Dreama Maloney for everything.
